Arrested!!
This past Sunday, I had the privilege of communicating God’s word to our church. MAN, I love talking about God and His word with people!!!
I told the story about getting arrested when I was 13 yrs. old, and how I was put in jail… The consequences I had to face and the restoration that happened afterwards. We worked our way through Acts chapter 9 when God talks about His “Arrest” of a man named Saul on his journey to Damascus.
Do you remember when you were busted by the Lord? He does it in a lot of different ways for different people. Some are overcome by the guilt of their lifestyle and they call on the Lord, asking Him to save them from the destruction they are heading towards. Some have to smash into a brick wall in life before they call on the God for help. Rarely do people call on God when things are going well in their lives. They usually have to get so low that they have to look up to see bottom. Then, they realize that doing things their own way doesn’t work too well. If it takes several hard knocks in life to produce humility, then let the school of hard knocks begin!
Whatever caused your “Arrest”, whatever circumstances you were in, whatever life altering state you were in, It one time I’m GLAD I got arrested!!
